Some of you may have recently heard about Jerry's diagnosis with stage 4 rectal cancer, which has metastasized to his bladder, lungs and liver, which is 85% cancerous.
Jerry's Chemotherapy treatments began January 3, 2017, he is scheduled for 12 treatments, every other week. Treatments have been going well, and have greatly improved Jerry's hope, of survival.

As most of you know, Jerry, left Redding, a few days after graduation from Enterprise High School, in 1976, and moved to Eugene, OR, where he started working in a mill. Forty years later, Jerry is continuing to work in a mill, in Chester, CA, and never in all those 40 years, has Jerry taken a sick day, until he was diagnoised with cancer in December. Jerry is a kind, simple man, who raised his 3 children, loves his grandkids, bowling and fishing. He really hopes to fish lake Almanor this summer. Medical bills are starting to come in already, not including the expenses from traveling from Chester to Redding, every other week, for 3 day appointments at the Oncology Center, Dignity Health Mercy.
I want to reach out to friends and family, who I know have been graciously offering their love & support, during this trying time in Jerry and my mom's life, and asking in your generosity, if you are able, to help us set up a fund, to assist them in their journey to get Jerry well, and on a path to recovery and healing.
I know it has meant so much to Jerry and my mom, to hear from so many old friends and family and they greatly appreciate the outreach of their community, in Chester, from neighbors and coworkers. It has all been a blessing in this precarious time.
If you are able to help, in anyway, I know your generosity will be greatly appreciated. It's not something my mom and Jerry would ever ask of their friends, family and community. But as their daughter, and because I know many of you, I know this is something a lot of people understand and people who can help, will undoubtedly help, in any way they can.
If you cannot help with a donation, but would like to reach out to Jerry and my mom in other ways of generosity, please let me know and I will be sure to get you in touch with them.
Thank you all for your thoughts of well being and prayers and for the compassion of true humanity, during this time. Let's be sure to keep the positive vibes, for Jerry's health to improve, as he battles this disease. Kicking cancers ass, is an exhausting task, and we thank you for helping make the load a little lighter!
