As you all know, our dear friend Cathy Michaud passed away last week from Colon Cancer. She passed away in her sleep and that is exactly the way she would have wanted it. She was the most inspirational and fearless women that I have had the honor to know in my lifetime. My name is Lauren Balden and I have had the privilege of knowing Cathy for over 25 years both personally and professionally. Her passion for her work, her family and friends, the Lightning, any so many every day experiences made her someone that you always wanted to be around. She will be greatly missed but our memories of her and with her will live long. In our hearts. Most of you know Cathy’s daughter Chelsea. Chelsea and Cathy were more than Mother and Daughter, they were truly each others best friend. We will all miss Cathy dearly, but no one will miss her presence in her life like Chelsea will. I started this account to help Chelsea navigate any and all unforeseen expenses that are surly to arise. We all know that an unexpected passing like this is often times not completely planned for and can be extremely overwhelming. Any support that you can give in Cathy’s memory will be very much appreciated.
