I am at a loss for words. I'm hurt, but mostly for my friend. If you have spoken to Blake at least once since he's started in the department, he probably mentioned his mother somewhere in the conversation. Anna Hawkins, was a single mother of 1. Blake was her only child. So you can imagine, as I know, the bond that they had. 

COVID-19 has prevented us from being together as per usual. For that reason, I
have set up this fundraiser to take collection in support of my friend, our brother 
in solidarity, our co-worker Blake.
