Dear GoFundMe community, family and friends,
Recently, my best friend and sister by choice, Beverly McArthur, was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung, abdomen and bone cancer. This news has been devasting to all who know and love Bev, but especially for her family.
For those of you who know Bev, you know that she has a zest for life and the best sense of humor. Her laugh is infectious and contagious. She has always been a hard worker and takes pride in herself and her accomplishments. She is beautiful inside and out and she’s never been afraid to speak her truth. She loves her family and friends passionately and unconditionally. To know her, is to love her.
For those of you who don’t know Bev, she is a single mom to her beautiful daughters. She has met many hardships through her 52 years of life, including the loss of all the family’s personal belongings to a house fire in 2014. Through all her misgivings, she has struggled to support her family on minimum wage earnings. In her struggle to make ends meet, there was little left for savings, let alone life insurance.
Bev has fought many a battle, making her one of the bravest and strongest women I have ever known. The weeks ahead will be challenging and, without a doubt, will be the hardest battle of her life and unfortunately time is not on our side. But she is a fighter and she will continue to fight.
I am asking for your assistance in giving Bev the comfort of knowing that her children will not be burdened with the financial responsibilities that are sure to come.
Your thought and prayers are also greatly appreciated.
Should you prefer to donate by other means, please contact me directly.
