In solidarity with Kevin & Veronica and family
$5,050 raised of $5K
Boris is raising this fundraiser for his friend Kevin, Veronica, and their two young children, Itan, who is 4, and Ian, who is 8. On Monday, 8/10, Kevin and Veronica were detained by ICE in Albany, New York, early in the morning while heading to work with their two kids. They were persued by 5 ICE vehicles. Since then, Kevin has been held at the Buffalo Service Processing Center, while Veronica and the children are being held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center in Texas. Kevin has been working as a roofer and has no criminal record. Veronica had just gotten a job cleaning, and both children go to Delaware Community School in Albany. This has been a heartbreaking and overwhelming situation for the whole family, especially with two small children caught in the middle of so much uncertainty. On Wednesday 8/13, Kevin was diagnosed with Tuberculosis and he is isolated.
Donations will help Kevin, Veronica, Itan, and Ian with urgent legal fees, food, medicine and basic support during this incredibly difficult time. The funds will also help support their return to Ecuador if deportation occurs. Every contribution, no matter the size, can make a meaningful difference for this family as they face the days ahead. Please consider supporting Kevin and Veronica and helping ease some of the burden on their family. The family will be grateful for your support.
