Some of us didn’t have the chance to know Lola Cion deeply, but we know the kind of love that surrounded her because we know her daughter, Mayee Crispin.

In our work in the labor movement, We’ve seen Mayee’s strength, care, and commitment to others. And it’s clear that kind of heart comes from somewhere. Caring for a mother who lived 106 years is no small thing. That is a lifetime of devotion, patience, and love.

Lola Cion’s life is a beautiful legacy, not just in the years she lived, but in her family and the values she passed on. Through Mayee, Lorena, her great grandchildren and the generations that will follow.

As we honor Lola Cion, we also hold Mayee and her family with care and solidarity. We hope to support them in giving her a farewell that reflects a life so long, so meaningful, and so deeply loved.
