In March of 2025, our dear friend Sean Phelan passed away unexpectedly. His wife Stacy and their two boys—Quinn (6th grade, Davidson) and Kieran (4th grade, Sun Valley)—have been navigating an unthinkable loss with strength, grace, and courage.

Prior to Sean's passing the family had relocated abroad to Thailand for work. In preparation, they let go of nearly everything they owned, believing they would return later to begin a fresh chapter together. Instead, Stacy and the boys found themselves returning home to the U.S. under heartbreaking circumstances—without Sean, and without the essentials needed to restart daily life.

Since returning stateside, the family has been in a rental while their San Rafael home was leased. Now, as the New Year begins, they are finally moving back into their family home in the Rafael Highlands for the first time since leaving. This moment represents both a homecoming and a new beginning—but it also comes with significant needs.

Why We’re Asking for Help

Stacy is doing everything she can to rebuild a stable, comforting home for her boys while carrying profound grief. Outfitting a home from scratch—furniture, household essentials, pantry items, beds, linens, storage, and more—is overwhelming, both emotionally and financially. Funds raised will be used thoughtfully to purchase the essentials Stacy and the boys truly need to help make their house feel like home again.

Many of you know the Phelans, or your children know Quinn and Kieran through school or sports. This is a moment for our community to quietly and powerfully show up.
