SAVING PENELOPE

My name is Christin, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help on behalf of my precious puppy, Penelope.

This past Saturday night, our world was turned upside down. Penelope was caught in a freak accident that left her with severe injuries, including being impaled in both her throat and chest. I was beyond terrified, not knowing if I would lose her. I rushed her from Huntsville to Barrie, and then to Newmarket and Toronto. But every emergency vet I approached was unwilling to perform the necessary surgery without a specialist, and it felt like time was slipping away.

Now, as of today, I’ve been able to see Penelope’s primary vet, who has confirmed what I feared — she needs a major surgical operation to survive. The procedure is scheduled for Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, but the road to recovery will not end there. Penelope will likely require a long hospital stay, follow-up appointments, and ongoing medications.

I would do absolutely anything to save my baby girl. Penelope is so much more than a pet — she’s family. She’s been my constant companion, my joy, my little light in this world. The thought of losing her is unbearable. But the reality is, I cannot shoulder the weight of these overwhelming vet bills alone. 

I’m reaching out to anyone who might be able to help, whether with a donation, a share, or simply by spreading the word. Every little bit counts. I can’t do this without you. I just want to give Penelope the chance to heal, to come home, to live the life she deserves. Any support you can offer means the world to both of us.

To date I have spent 4,000 to ensure her stability but unfortunately we are in need of more.
