On May 13th, 2026, Lucien “Luke” Ashcraft tragically passed away following an altercation with a criminal attempting to steal from his home in Paris, Kentucky. His sudden and heartbreaking loss has left an unimaginable void in the lives of everyone who knew and loved him.

To know Luke was to know kindness, generosity, and unwavering loyalty. He was the type of man who would do anything to help someone in need — whether it was family, friends, coworkers, customers, or even a complete stranger. He carried himself with a calm, even-keeled spirit and a warm smile that made everyone around him feel welcome. There truly are not enough words to describe the impact he had on so many lives.

Luke is survived by his loving wife Jamie, his children, grandchildren, parents, siblings, and countless friends and loved ones who are devastated by this tragic loss.

Family meant everything to Luke. Some of his happiest moments were spent with the people he loved most — whether helping someone with a project, cooking for family and friends, working on cars with his father, or simply enjoying time together. He was an incredibly gifted mechanic who could fix just about anything, and he turned that talent into a career repairing outdoor power equipment. His knowledge, professionalism, and kindness earned him the respect of customers and coworkers alike at Central Equipment in Lexington, where he will be deeply missed by his work family.

Luke loved the outdoors, grilling and smoking food for loved ones, and restoring classic muscle cars. He lived life with a servant’s heart and brought people together everywhere he went.

The pain of losing Luke so suddenly is difficult to put into words. His family is now facing not only overwhelming grief, but also the financial burdens that come with an unexpected tragedy.
