In Remembrance Of Asya Bryant

To honor the memory of Asya Bryant, we wanted to create a fundraiser that would be most fitting. Because of her love for working with children especially young women, we found the Pride Pact Leadership Academy to be the perfect organization.

The PRIDE PACT  Leadership Academy that was created by Drs. Mary W. Black and Geraldine C. Munn started PPLA in 2006 and have continued to be dedicated helping to create the highest character, integrity, and excellence among girls in all that they endeavor. Currently, Dr. Black is the associate superintendent of Cumberland County Schools’ Student Support Services and Dr. Munn is a retired professor from Fayetteville State University.

P.R.I.D.E. P.A.C.T. Leadership Academy for Girls helps build relationships with young girls so that they can grow up to be young women who understand (1) how to be held accountable for their actions; (2) know what a positive role model looks like in their community; and (3) can apply the interactive lessons from PPLA to their real-life experiences and challenges.

Approximately 40-45 young ladies in grades 3-12 each month

This year 5 young ladies graduated and was given $500 each to help offset the costs of college.

If you have questions about the Academy, contact Dr. Black at [phone redacted]

All donations will be payable to The P.R.I.D.E. P.A.C.T. Leadership Academy for Girls.
