Dear friends and family,
It’s with deep sadness that I share the passing of my beloved uncle, Arturo Flores Montes. He passed away on June 22, 2025, and is survived by his eight-year-old son, Felix. As many of you know, my uncle was a very caring man who would often give his last dollar to you if you needed it. He selflessly cared for his little sisters every day while he lived in New York City and then moved to Richmond, Virginia, to look after his niece and nephews without question. That is who he was; he was always there for his family when they needed him. He never asked for recognition. He didn’t need a spotlight. He found fulfillment in being dependable, in being the one you could call at any hour, in showing up to fix a leaky pipe, lend money without condition, or offer a shoulder to lean on. And no matter what was going on in his own life, he always showed up with a smile on his face.
We’re raising funds to help cover funeral expenses and give my uncle the farewell he deserves. Any additional funds will go toward supporting his son, who he cared for most—ensuring that his legacy of compassion and generosity continues.
We know times are hard, and any amount—big or small—means more than words can say. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page with others would be deeply appreciated.
Thank you for being a part of my uncle Arturo's story, whether you knew him personally or are moved by the life he lived.
With love,
Flores Family
