Easter tragedy, hope of help.

**4/26/2022 ** update with updated photos are added to the below updates. Please know there are graphic photos. Gregory will be needing several more surgeries. Details in update. Thank you.

We are deeply humbled by all of your continued support and outreach. Thank you all for your extremely generous donations. We value your assistance in our time of need.

On Easter Sunday, our middle son of six boys Gregory, was involved with a very serious dog attack. Gregory (8), was flown to American Family Hospital at UW Madison in Madison, WI to treat his injuries. Gregory underwent immediate surgery to his head for a wound that is 11cm long and 4cm wide. He had a graft site from his thigh that replaced the missing tissue from his head. He also had a gauze pack into his cheek from a bite to his face. Thankfully and remarkably, Gregory was released to home with us on Monday to recover. Kris and I with our newborn, stayed in Madison WI after the two hour ride there for Gregory until his release.
In addition to this, we just had our sixth son on April 7th 2022.
Kris has missed work to help here at home with Gregory and our new born as we manage Gregory's care.

We are affected by the formula shortage crisis as Myles, our youngest son, is on special formula for dietary colic needs and breastfeeding was not possible any longer due to the extreme stress of this tragedy.

We also, very unexpectedly, had to unfortunately euthanize our family dog Nirvana after having her 10 lovely years the day after mothers day. She was in emergent medical decline from a grossly enlarged heart and we made the humane and loving decision to put her to sleep peacefully so she would not suffer.

These circumstances have all added to the financial strains for transportation with gas, bills, our mortgage and other financial responsibilities. We are asking , please, from our family, friends and community during this time of need for financial assistance.

Gregory is on the path now within the next month to begin the counciltation process to continue treatment with Children's Wisconsin of Milwaukee for future surgeries.

We appreciate all of your well wishes, thoughts and support during this time and will continue to update on Gregory's progress.

Thank you for your help for our family. We deeply and humbly appreciate it and your generosity.

Respectfully
Katelin and Kris
