Zayla Lori Tindal

Our dear friend was blessed with the beautiful gift of her daughter, Zayla, on August 17, 2025. From before she was even born, Zayla showed incredible strength, diagnosed in the womb with a congenital heart defect, she began fighting long before she took her first breath.

From the very beginning, Zayla’s journey was filled with challenges, but also with resilience that inspired everyone around her. With the support of the incredible cardiac team at Dell Children’s Hospital, she faced every obstacle head-on. She overcame so much in her short life, battling Rhinovirus twice, surviving the loss of over 60% of her blood, and pushing through RSV. Time and time again, she proved just how strong and determined she was.

So when Zayla became sick again, there was hope because that’s who she was. A fighter. A little girl who did things her own way and never gave up. Zayla entered this world fighting, and she left it the same way surrounded by love and strength.

No parent is ever prepared for the loss of a child. The emotional weight is unimaginable, and the financial burden that comes with such a long and difficult journey only adds to the hardship. Our friend has given everything she had to be there for her daughter, and now she needs the support of those around her.
