In Memory of Zackory Kazuo Morton
Hello, my name is Max Morton, brother to Zackory "Kazuo " (1st born son in Japanese) Morton. On July 9th, 2021 I had the terrible misfortune of finding my brother absent from this world. Exact causes are uncertain at the moment, but that is not the main concern for my family. What matters to us most is being able to honor my brother by providing him with the proper funeral services and love from all the people who have cared for him throughout his life–and who will continue to care for him.
I am starting this fundraiser to help with the imminent costs that accompany the untimely death of a loved one. We cherish any and all donations which will go directly toward funeral and related expenses for Zack. Moreover, we equally appreciate the kind words and stories you all have begun to share with my family and I.
Zack was a son, a brother, and a friend to many. He had an old soul and a razor sharp focus to pursue his passions. His last few months were some of his happiest. He found refuge and euphoria in riding with his fellow motorcyclists, the Gooniez. They acted as a second family and were the subject of every talk at the dinner table. Zack was creative, astute, caring, meticulous, and brave–to name a few things. He enjoyed wrenching and riding more than anything.
He was a lot of things but to me he was my big brother. I will always be a reflection of him. He got me into wrestling, skateboarding, and influenced all of the music I listen to. He was always tough with me but showed his love through action (i.e. when he got my skateboard back from some bullies in school).
I cannot begin to illustrate the toll this hardship is taking on my mother and father. The pain of outliving your child is unbearable. Zack had just turned 26 and was on the right track to living a beautiful life. He was loved. The future is uncertain and we will do our best to honor the life of my brother, Zack Morton.
Feel free to contact me through GFM with any questions, concerns, or condolences. Thank you all for playing a part in my brother and/or my family's lives. Rest in peace Zack.
