Remembering Zachary: Supporting Mental Health & Funeral Expenses
On Tuesday, November 11th, our hearts were shattered by the unexpected passing of Zachary, an 18-year-old with a bright future ahead and a spirit that touched everyone. Zachary was athletic, easygoing, and effortlessly charismatic. He had a gift for making people laugh and feel welcome.
He loved video games, music, spending time with friends, and being with family. He was the type of person who would give you his last bit of energy, his last bit of time, and never ask for anything in return. The most important thing to know about Zachary is this: he never wanted to bother anyone. Even when he struggled, he kept things to himself because he didn’t want to be a burden.
We wish we could tell him how deeply he was loved, how many people cared, and how none of us would have hesitated to lift him up.
We want to honor Zachary’s compassion and quiet strength by helping others who may be fighting silent battles of their own. This GoFundMe will serve two purposes:
To create a no-cost support option for those struggling with mental health or depression, in Zachary’s name. The immediate need will be to some of his surviving friends and family members. He would want to make sure that they get the help they need during this vulnerable time in their lives.
To help cover funeral and memorial expenses, allowing our family to give Zachary the farewell he deserves.
If you’re able to donate, share, or simply keep Zachary in your thoughts, we are deeply grateful. Your support not only helps our family, but helps build a path for others who feel alone, unheard, or afraid to ask for help. We will be celebrating his life December 5th with invitations to follow.
Thank you for honoring Zachary’s memory with us.
