In Memory of Ying - Support Lucas and Lewis Education Fund

On April 3, 2025, we lost our dear friend Ying Liu in sorrow. At the age of 44, she left behind two beloved sons, Lucas (14) and Lewis (9), her elderly father, and her husband of 20 years, Hui Ma. Ying was born and raised in Beijing, where she developed a kind and resilient character. She earned a bachelor's degree in international trade from the University of International Business and Economics. Ying met Hui in 2003, and they married in 2004, embarking on their dream journey together.

In 2005, Ying moved to Seattle to reunite with her husband, who was studying at the University of Washington. Ying also earned a master's degree in accounting from UW and became a certified public accountant. Ying was always kind and caring, always helping friends in need with all her heart. In 2020, Ying was diagnosed with breast cancer. With the support of her family and friends, she fought the disease with extraordinary perseverance for five years. Unfortunately, Ying passed away on April 3, 2025, leaving behind her loving husband and two sons.

Lucas and Lewis were Ying's pride, not only in her contributions to their academic and character development but also in her plans and expectations for their future. Her passing has brought new challenges to their education and growth. We hope to establish an education fund for Lucas and Lewis to address the uncertainties in their growth. If the fund is not exhausted, it will carry the beautiful wishes of their mother and everyone to help those in greater need.

2025年4月3日，我们怀着沉痛的心情失去了亲爱的朋友刘颖。年仅44岁的她留下了两个心爱的儿子，14岁的Lucas和9岁的Lewis，年迈的父亲，还有相伴她20年的丈夫马辉。刘颖在北京出生长大，在那里她培养了善良和坚韧的性格。她在对外经济贸易大学取得了外贸学士学位。刘颖与马辉相识于2003年，并于2004年步入婚姻殿堂，开启了他们梦想的旅程。

2005年，刘颖来到西雅图与在华盛顿大学读书的丈夫团聚。之后刘颖也在华大取得会计硕士学位，并成为了一名注册会计师。刘颖善良并关怀他人，朋友有困难，她总是全心全力地帮助。2020年，刘颖被诊断出患有乳腺癌，在家人和朋友的支持下，她以非凡的毅力与病痛抗争了五年。遗憾的是，刘颖于2025年4月3日去世，留下她深爱的丈夫和两个儿子。

Lucas和Lewis是刘颖的骄傲，她不仅在孩子们学业和性格培养上付出了许多，更体现在她对孩子们未来的规划和期望。妈妈的离开不可避免地影响了孩子的未来。我们希望为Lucas和Lewis设立一个教育基金，以应对孩子们成长中的不确定因素。如果这个基金未被全部使用完，它将承载着妈妈与大家的祝愿继续帮助那些更需要的人。
