Help Diane Stone:In Loving Memory of Willy Stone

Diane lost her loving husband of 54 years, William "Willy" Stone, on August 16, 2024.

Born in Cortland Oct 14, 1947 son of the late Wilford and Vera Reynolds Stone. He was employed at Petracca Construction and Pall Trinity. Willy was an honorary member of McGraw Fire Department and McGraw Sportsman's club.

Willy loved his family dearly and deeply, always reaching out to everyone. He was also known for his sense of humor telling jokes wherever he was. There was always laughter whenever he was around. When you think of him give him a chuckle. Willy's favorite hobby was driving Miss. Daisy, (Diane) around and socializing as she did the shopping.

Survived by wife Diane Stone, children Ken Stone and Amy (Steve) Alberts; grandchildren Ashlynn, Austin, their mother, Brenda Stone, Tyler Stone, Anthony, Kenney, and Kimberly Alberts and great granddaughter Bella. Brothers-in-law John (Debbie) Head and Dale Loomis. Sisters-in-law Sandy Stone and Melanie Euson (Stephen White) and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by brothers, Victor, Wilfred and Wayne Stone. Sisters Terena Loomis and Teresa Carlin. Brothers-n-law Cliff Carlin and Stanley Euson. In-laws Jack and Betty Head.

Private services for the family will be held at Wright-Beard Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

My grandparents were dependent on a fixed income and Poppy wouldn't want my Grandma to have to deal with unexpected expenses all alone. Any donations go directly to Diane to give her a bit of relief. The Stone family appreciates all support, kind words, and comfort given already. He was so positive all of the time and touched many many lives. He will never be forgotten and his spirit will forever be with us all. I love you with all of my heart, it's not good bye, it's "see ya later".
