"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal" On 8/24/23, the man we all knew as Smitty, passed away unexpectedly while at his home. He left behind his beloved wife, Lori, who he had been with for over 50 years! He also leaves behind his Smith sons (Billy and Tony) and his daughter Sami Jo along with beloved siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. His legacy is his legendary sense of humor. Anybody who knew Smitty, especially those who have known him most of his life, has a "Smitty" story to tell. And anybody who knew him, knew that his beloved wife Lori has been by his side since they were 13 years old! As you can imagine, she has been blindsided by his sudden passing. This page is being setup to help her in the coming months with the financial strain of packing up their lives to move closer to her children and to assist with funeral services. It has been decided that Smitty will be cremated and we will have a Celebration of Life for him in about a month once we have finished moving Lori closer to the family. Information on a date and time will be coming soon and we hope everyone can join to share their stories and spread the laughs that he surely would have wanted you to share. The smallest amount helps and is greatly appreciated. Lori and her children would like to thank all of those in the family who have contributed in recent days to assist in his cremation expense and make this transition easier
