In Memory of William Lamont
Donation protected
Sadly as many of you will know I lost my Dad in November to the awful illness that is Cancer, it’s been the saddest time of our lives & I cannot put into words the massive hole which has been left in our hearts.
This year, I’ve decided to sign up to
The Great Glencoe Challenge to raise funds for two charities, MacMillan Cancer Support & Guide Dogs.
The challenge is a hike from the heart of Glencoe, over the infamous Devils Staircase on the West Highland Way to finish 26.2 miles later at the foot of Ben Nevis, to be completed in 12 hours.
I am fully self funding the cost of the event therefore all money donated will be sent directly to the charities.
MacMillan Cancer Support -
As a family we cannot thank them enough for the care & support they gave us & to my Dad, especially during his final weeks, MacMillan are 98% funded by voluntary donations, so fundraising is essential to make sure they can continue to deliver the vital support people living with cancer need.
50% of funds raised will go to MacMillan Cancer Support.
Guide Dogs -
Shortly after losing Dad we were given the opportunity to re home a Guide Dog who wasn’t quite up to a life of work for various reasons, the timing was impeccable, his big golden smile has lifted us all, he’s been a welcome addition to the family.
50% of funds raised will go towards helping Guide Dogs provide life-changing services for people with sight loss.
Thank you so much for reading & donating. Wish me luck! ❤️
