Wayne Barr was more than just my dad's best friend—he was family. On March 7th of this year, Wayne passed away unexpectedly, only three weeks after learning he had liver cancer. His wife Sue and their son Shane and Anthony are now facing a world without their loving husband and father. Wayne was the kind of person who brought joy and laughter wherever he went, and his absence leaves a deep ache in the hearts of everyone who knew him. My dad, who was also very close to Wayne and Sue, passed away last year. I like to think they're together now, watching over us and sharing stories as they always did.

The Service is going to be May 18th , 2026 held in Benicia, CA @ Northgate Church 1PM.

Wayne's passing has left his family not only grieving but also struggling financially. He was a pillar of support for Sue, Shane and Anthony, and without him, they're facing mounting expenses—from funeral costs to everyday bills and living expenses. Losing someone you love is already unimaginably hard, but the added stress of financial insecurity makes it even more difficult to heal.
