In Memory of Wally Hill - bench, plaque, and tree
Tax deductible
We have reached our goal as of 4/15/2024! Thanks to all who donated. We will keep everyone informed when the bench, tree, and plaque are installed. What an incredible Pickleball community we have!!
The Organ Mountains Pickleball Club is raising funds for a memorial to Wally Hill - a beloved individual and pickleball enthusiast, who passed away on March 15, 2023. Our goal is $3000. Funds will be used to pay the City of Las Cruces to install a blue iron park bench, a plaque inscribed with Wally's name, and a tree at The East Mesa Pickleball Courts when the complex is completed (around April 2024).
Thank you for your generosity,

Testimonials:
"In Loving Memory of Wally, A cherished friend, an inspiring mentor, and a passionate pickleball player, Wally's presence on the court was as unforgettable as his spirit off it. His love for the game was infectious, and he played every match with a joyful heart and a competitive edge that inspired us all. Wally wasn't just a player; he was the heart and soul of our pickleball community. His laughter, encouragement, and wise advice will be dearly missed. As we remember Wally, let's honor his legacy by playing the game he loved with the same enthusiasm and kindness he showed to each of us. Rest in peace, dear friend. Your memory will always be a treasured part of our pickleball family." - Gerry and Kathy Rittenbery
"As you look down from Heaven, onto all of the pickleball courts in Las Cruces, I hope you smile at the lives you have touched and the legacy you have left.
In the rapidly expanding Las Cruces pickleball community, you, Wally Hill, were not only a founder, but will remain a permanent icon of the sport. With your contagious smile, your compassion and your humility, you represented the best of all of us." - Angela Sullivan
