In Memory of Vinesh Vincent Raj
Donation protected
Vinesh Vincent Raj, known as Vinnie by his loved ones, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020, at the age of 38.
Being an extremely successful individual, Vinnie was his high-school's valedictorian, obtained his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University, obtained his Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Cal State Los Angeles and proceeded to continue his studies for his Doctorate in Engineering.
Not only was Vinnie known for his accomplishments in his education, but also his impact on his peers as an RA. He was well loved by his family and friends for his charisma, comedic bluntness and his truthfulness.
But behind all these accomplishments, Vinnie was also undergoing a rigorous dialysis treatment. He battled this disease for 4 years as he waited for a kidney transplant. With the help of his mother, Sashi, for donating her kidney, he was able to live his life without treatment. Unfortunately the kidney only lasted 4 years in which he was returned to dialysis for another 4 years, and even though he was consistent with his treatments, he peacefully passed in his sleep from in-stage renal failure.
With the support from his step-father Richard, Father Ajay, step-Mother Janet, sister Ashween, nieces Destiny and Starla and the rest of his friends and family, we are creating this GoFundMe page to raise money to donate to dialysis and kidney transplant centers in memory of Vinnie. As of now, we are working with his social worker to get contact information for two charities. Once we find the information we will update it on this page so you are able to confirm the donations towards the charities. Thank you for your contribution. May Vinesh Vincent Raj rest in peace.
