The Met Orchestra https://www.metorchestramusicians.org is establishing this fund in memory of our dear colleague, Vincent Lionti, who passed away on April 4th due to complications of COVID -19.
Vinny joined the Met Opera Orchestra viola section in 1987 -- besides his encylopedic knowledge of opera from his 33 years of service, he was the conductor for the Greater Westchester Youth Orchestra's https://www.gwyoa.org senior orchestra, following in the footsteps of his father, Victor Lionti.
This fund is dedicated to and is for the benefit of Vinny's wife, Kristin Lionti.
