In Memory of Victor Bolanos
Donation protected
Our dad, Victor Bolanos, was diagnosed with Stage Four metastatic Lung Cancer Tuesday, May 19th and passed away Thursday, June 18th. When he got the diagnosis he was told the cancer had already spread to his brain, liver, stomach, bones and was aggressively spreading throughout the rest of his body. He ultimately and quickly lost his ability to walk. All of these changes were happening so rapidly and it was hard to process what was happening to our dad. The cancer was relentless and was ravaging his body, the pain was unforgiving. On June 9th, our dad was admitted to Hospice at home. His health went on a rapid decline over the next nine days, dependent on oxygen and our family's prayers and support. Seeing our dad go from a very independent person to being bed-ridden all in the span of a month was unbelievable. Though it brings us peace knowing he is no longer suffering; words cannot even express how much we will miss our dad and everything he meant to us.
Our dad was an incredible man who will always be remembered for his humor, generosity, kindness, wittiness, strength and selflessness, among many other traits. He was an exceptional husband, dad, son, brother, uncle, friend, co-worker and role model. Our dad had a light and energy that he would bring wherever he was and he will be missed dearly.
Our parents were married for 38 years and my mom now has to continue without my dad by her side. Many have been asking what they can do to help. If you would like to make a donation, please click on the donate button or venmo his oldest daughter, @gabriela-talamantes. Please help our family raise funds for funeral expenses along with other financial stresses that will directly affect our family. Our dad was diagnosed and passed away all within a month and my mom was not prepared for all of the unplanned costs associated to our dad's passing.
