In memory of Vera Hofmann

Dear friends and family of Vera Hofmann

The passing of dear Vera has left a huge hole in our hearts and had many of us ask how we might continue her passions/beliefs/desire to support the creation of a better world.

A few of us felt it would be a loving gesture to plant a fruit tree – an apricot tree – in her honour and on the land of the place she chose for her last Salon – Dare to Imagine/Turning the Tide – June 16 – 18 2024 at the Unbound in Amsterdam. https://unbound-amsterdam.com/en/

The Unbound generously granted us permission to plant the tree on their land. See pictures.

We have created this fund raising site as we would like to honour Vera and her sustainability causes and thank the Unbound for their generosity of spirit in immediately allowing us to plant the tree on their land. They asked for nothing in return.

We recognise that some caretaking of the tree and plaque and commemorative stones will be needed over the years and we want to provide the Unbound with funds for this. We would love for the tree site to be honoured so that it will be a place where those who might wish to come in contemplation and memory of Vera could do so with delight and reverence.

The Unbound’s mission is very closely tied to the values and sustainability mission that Vera had. Our financial support can be a support for their causes as well – in memory of Vera.

Please give generously so together we can present our gift of gratitude to the Unbound while honouring their role in society today and in the future and so help us to honour our dear Vera and her love. We will leave the Go Fund Me account open till September 8th midnight and hope that leaves everyone enough time to contribute as they wish.
