Gone too soon and all too sudden, Vanessa was the best friend to many. All of you will undoubtedly remember her for how selfless she was, ready to pick up the phone at any time of day, and to drop everything to help someone in their time of need. I remember her telling me she was afraid to mute her phone at night “because what if someone calls me about something terrible happening and I don’t get the call in time.” Vanessa leaves behind her beloved only daughter Kaeci, and I know for sure Kaeci’s well-being was always her number 1 priority. Things have been difficult financially for Vanessa in the last few years and worries about Kaeci’s education and financial future were always at the forefront. I hope we can all rally just like Vanessa would have rallied for any of us and help her family with funeral expenses and help provide for a secure financial future and education for Kaeci. 

I plan to use the funds to reimburse Vanessa’s family for funeral expenses and use the remainder to setup an RESP for Kaeci. I will be corresponding with Vanessa’s husband Brandon in regards to proper distribution of the funds to those responsible for the expenses.
