In Loving Memory of Tyler Gillispie — Helping Humans and Animals in Need

On July 10, 2026, our family lost an irreplaceable light. Tyler Gillispie was called home at 38 years old, leaving behind a family forever changed by his warmth, humor, and love.

Tyler was known to everyone as the quick-witted jokester who could make a room laugh in an instant. But those who knew him best saw what was underneath that humor: a deeply thoughtful, compassionate man who loved fiercely and gave freely, even while quietly carrying burdens of his own.

That compassion extended to every living creature. When no one else would take him in, Tyler adopted Oadie, a deaf pitbull who needed a patient and loving home. Tyler gave him exactly that — and the two of them shared a bond built on unconditional love that shaped so much of who Tyler was.

He was also fearless and full of life — an athlete at heart, most at home on the golf course, especially at his beloved "office" in Kiawah Island, South Carolina.

In honor of Tyler's big heart and the empathy he showed to people and animals alike, our family is raising funds to support causes close to his spirit in the Charleston, SC area. We can't think of a better way to carry Tyler's memory forward than by helping humans and animals in need — just as he always did, quietly and without asking for anything in return.

He is now at peace, reunited with his grandparents, cousins, and his faithful companion, Oadie.

Thank you for considering a gift in Tyler's honor. Every donation helps continue the kind of love he gave so freely — to people and animals who needed it most.

Rest in peace, Tyler. You are loved beyond measure.
