In Memory of Big Trey Taylor: Support for Debby and Liam

Trey Taylor, just writing and hearing your name gives a ginormous smile to anyone, EVERYONE. We see you big Trey, we feel you…your six-foot five gentle giant happy heart presence. The twinkle in your eye, smirk of all smirks, still not sure what was growing on your chin these days, but we feel you buddy. Your Trey quick humor, the big guy who lights up a room like no one can, Trey, who would give the shirt off his back (well, tank top off his back), Trey who poured his heart into his super patient wife, Debby, kind athletic son, Liam, every person and animal you met. Trey, your genuine soul was like no other. We are missing you Trey: missing your colossal Trey hugs, your witty dry sense of humor, your fruity blue drinks, your perfectly delivered one liners and your seat on the baseball field with Kirby Cat on your lap.
Trey, you left a happy forever mark on each person you encountered, you made sure you met everyone in the room, made them feel welcomed and comfortable, leaving your happy mark. We called you FOMO, “fear of missing out”, however, it wasn’t FOMO, the gift was for everyone else to meet you Trey, feel your happy mark and have some big guy in their life. Your presence was a beautiful gift of humorous banters, easy going yet feisty giggles, just a happy heart legend of a man who took care of all his buddies, loved his wife, son and furry babies fiercely.
Trey, we will never understand why. We all ask the same question… Why God? Why Trey? This just isn’t right; it is not fair. Trey, you clearly have a huge mighty calling up there and to help take care of us down here. I know that the line to greet you at the heavenly gates is still so long, miles long, endless hugs reuniting with every single person you left a mark on. I look forward to seeing you again buddy, hear your one-of-a-kind Trey voice saying my name the funny way you do, saying all of our names, throwing out a wise crack or two (twenty), but we will patiently wait to see your hunky smirky smirk and I will personally smack you upside the head for leaving us too soon. We crazy love you Trey. You are a true legend, irreplaceable. We all hold on to so many perfect memories with you, hold them so close to our hearts. William Granville Taylor III "Trey", you will never be forgotten.
My name is Kari, Trey is my late husband’s best buddy, my boys' second Dad, and my best friend too. Bret and Trey met in college and are now up there together, only 56 years old, living it up in paradise while we grieve their abundance of greatness down here. Grief is a horrific roller coaster of pain. Let’s help Deb and Liam through this pain the best we can by donating to the Go Fund Me link below. Your generosity goes a long way with paying large medical bills, Liam’s college fund, memorial arrangements, and simple things like Door Dash when they don’t want to leave the house. Please come over to their house and help with Trey’s biggest soft spot…foster kitten duty. Grief is a beast so please love up on Deb and Liam as much as you can. If you would like to help our big guy, Deb and Liam in other ways, please call [phone redacted].
Trey, we will be celebrating your love for us and all furry friends on September 10th, 2024- 11am at Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church. We will then meet up at HB Beer Co. 201 Main Street at 6pm to celebrate the of one of kind, giant heart of gold, neon drink mixologist, crack you up all day long, legend of a man that we all love so much. Please wear Hawaiian style or a white tank top in honor of our favorite happy heart guy.
Please leave a message here for the family, your favorite Trey memory, write all 1000 of them! We all have so much Trey love and laughter to spread.
You are so deeply missed Trey Taylor.
