In Memory of Tony Kapaj

This is a fundraiser for the family of Fatjon (known as “Tony” or “Toni”) Kapaj.  Tony was a beloved coach for youth soccer teams in the Manhattan Soccer Club and the Brooklyn Italians.  He also worked as the super of a building in Forest Hills.  He died on November 7, from liver cancer, at age 41.  He leaves behind his wife, Sonila Vrapi, and two young sons, Orges and Anuar, aged 10 and 8.  Orges and Anuar often came to practices and games with Tony and they loved getting to know the kids on the teams.  

We remember and appreciate Tony's unique trademark in bringing the team out to thank the parents after every game.  And when the weather was hot, Tony generously brought a large rolling cooler filled with water and sports drinks to give to all the players.  He had high expectations and a warm heart, and was a great coach.
