In Memory of Tommy Pritchard
Donation protected
In memory of Tommy 'Pritch' Pritchard, we kindly ask if you are able to donate to this page. All donations will be split between the Critical Care Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital who looked after Tommy so well in his weeks after the accident, and the Injured Players Foundation associated with the RFU.
Firstly, after being part of the rugby community for most of his life, the Injured Players Foundation meant a lot to Tommy and are there to give immediate and lifelong support to rugby players who, while playing rugby union in England at any level and at any age, sustain a catastrophic spinal cord injury or traumatic brain injury which has resulted in permanent disability. The IPF support is available to help injured players and through recovery, rehabilitation and for the rest of their lives. They also provide information and support to family members, clubs and team mates following such incidents, particularly in relation to how they can help the player with their recovery or adjustment to a new life.
Secondly, all the staff on the Critical Care Unit at the JR were incredible. They looked after Tommy really well and were caring and attentive throughout his time there. Donations on this page will also go towards the ward and the staff working on it to thank them and help go towards any further equipment or research they may need funding.
Any donation, small or large, is greatly appreciated.
All the best,
