In Memory of Timothy Andrus

Hello, my name is Misty Andrus, and I have been battling addiction since my young teenage years, as well as just having a really hard life. I met a man who found me in a desperate time and gave everything of himself to lift me up, put me on my feet, and help me succeed in life, stay clean and sober. We fell in love immediately and got married after 2 weeks of knowing each other. That was on September 19th, 2024. We reached new highs in life. I went from being nothing, a drug-addicted street person, to being completely peer support certified and having a good job, financing a car. We were managing a sober living, and everything was great.

Then, my husband started having little things go wrong. He lost his job, the sober living we were managing closed down, and we were forced to move within a couple of days with no notice. He was always feeling like he was in charge of figuring everything out for us. He got overwhelmed, and he did what addicts often do; he sought solace in a familiar pain reliever. After a little over a year clean and sober, my husband, Timothy Andrus, made that fatal mistake of thinking he could just do a little bit to help him through a difficult time. When he didn't pick me up from work or come home that night, I filed a missing person report and was told by the police my husband had passed away.

This man was so much more than an OD case, a nameless drug addict. This man was a father, a husband, a friend, the kind of guy that if you needed something or needed help, he was there. He was the kind of guy that could make things better just by listening. He was a hard worker, a good listener, a compassionate friend. This man changed my life, helped me realize my potential. He lifted me up and everyone around him at the expense of his own well-being. Now I'm asking for a little bit of help to guide him to his final resting place. Thank you for your help in our family and friends' tragic time. We love you, Timothy. May you rest in peace, my one true love.
