The world lost a special man on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. Born Timothy Scott Johnson on April 12, 1973, he was known by many names; Tim, Timmy, Timbo, even Scott for a year in grade school. More importantly, he was best known as the best friend, partner, son, brother anyone could ask for. Tim's life was filled with friends, fun and laughter, and it ended far too soon. He had an infectious smile, a kind heart and a mischievous smirk. He was the first one there when you needed a hand. And, the last to leave when a party was on.
Tim’s talents were many; musician, actor, dancer, adventurer, carpenter, but none properly describe the passion by which he pursued these crafts. He was an artist in everything he did. And his greatest gift may have been the joy he spread wherever he went.
The care he received from the team at Evanston Hospital, led by Dr. Ares, was extraordinary. And, with the compassionate direction from Gift of Hope, his kindness and generosity continues with his organ and tissue donations, allowing others the life he was denied.
He will forever be missed, but will live on in our hearts and in the sacrifices he gave to others. Tim, Rest In Peace, and know you are greatly loved.
All proceeds will help the family with funeral and services costs. Any surplus proceeds will be donated to the Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network and the NorthShore University Health System Neurological Institute in the name of Dr. Ares and the medical team who cared for Tim.
