In Memory of Theophilus Chibuisi

Our Clifton Family Church community will be holding a Seonghwa ceremony to honor and celebrate the life of our dear brother Theophilus Chibuisi on Saturday, March 21st. We will also hold a Wonjeon Service that same day to lay Theophilus’ body to rest, so he can peacefully transition to the Spirit World.
After the ascension of his wife Raquel only a few years ago, Theophilus is survived by his only son, Tobe, a senior in high school. We are asking for your heartfelt donations to pay for the expenses of the Seonghwa ceremony, and burial. All contributions are greatly appreciated.
A short biography of Theophilus’ life follows:
Theophilus Chibuisi was born on January 25, 1961 in Nigeria. He passed away from a stroke on March 5, 2020.
Theophilus joined the Unification Church in Nigeria in 1984 as a home member. Although he continued to work at his job over the early years, Theophilus became a very active member in church activities. He did a lot of witnessing, and was able to bring into the church a number of spiritual children. After a few years, Theophilus became a center member, and started to prepare himself for the Blessing.
In 1992 Theophilus received the Marriage Blessing with Raquel, whom he loved and cherished until her ascension in February 2016. After a short stay in Peru, Raquel's home country, Theophilus and Raquel moved to New York City and later Newark, New Jersey, becoming involved in small group and witnessing activities within their community. Their family was completed in 2002 with the arrival of Tobe, their beloved son, who Theophilus is survived by.
Theophilus was a very keen student of the Divine Principle and practiced a very Principled life together with his family. In 2011 he became one the founding members of the Africa New Hope Association, and is remembered fondly by the other members of the association.
