Terrance “Terry” Michael Borowski passed away peacefully at his home in Spring City, Tennessee, on October 13, 2025, at the age of 70, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Formerly of Algonquin, Illinois, Terry was surrounded by love in his final moments.

Born on September 30, 1955, Terry was known for his strong will, hardworking nature, and deep passion for the things and people he loved. He lived his life with determination and grit, and his presence left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Terry is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Carla Borowski, and their daughter, Amanda Borowski. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Monica Blando and Nathan Blando; his beloved dog and loyal companion, Brodie; his brother Ed Hart (Cathy); and step-siblings Jim Ziebell, Berry Ziebell, and Robin Ruffino.

He was a proud uncle to his niece and nephew, Sarah Peterson and Matthew Peterson, and is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and cousins who will continue to carry his memory forward with love and laughter.

Terry was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Borowski; his father, John Borowski; and his mother and stepfather, Rose and Jim Ziebell.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures — fishing on a quiet lake, rolling strikes at the bowling alley, relaxing with his favorite show Two and a Half Men, and caring for his prized 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner, which he spoke of often and with pride. A true car enthusiast, Terry poured love and attention into that Roadrunner the way he did with everything important to him.

Terry’s personality was as unforgettable as his laugh — strong, passionate, honest, and deeply loyal. He didn’t do anything halfway, and he showed up for the people he loved with his whole heart.

Though his absence leaves a deep ache, Terry’s legacy lives on through the stories shared, the memories cherished, and the love that will continue to grow in his honor.

Terry will be missed more than words can express and remembered always for the powerful way he lived, loved, and inspired those around him.
