Hi my name is David Soto De la Rosa and I’m raising funds to help pay for the medical and funeral bills of my recently departed husband and life partner Teodoro De la Rosa Soto.

With a heavy heart on March 2, 2025, my love of 11 years passed due to a complicated case of pneumonia. With a smile so bright and a laugh so infectious he leaves us with only the best memories a partner, friend, son, and uncle can offer. Teo is originally from Saltillo, Coahuila, MX - where his parents, sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews still live. In the time living in MX he studied and accomplished graduating with a law degree making sure he went above and beyond for clients in their time of uncertainty and need.

During my time with Teo, the depths of his kindness, empathy, and partnership became more and more clear to me and also became a part of everything he touched. While there is a saying that someone cannot be everything to everyone, all at once, that did not apply to him. Everything that Teo did was intentional and had purpose- to help others during their time of need. He aspired to become a practicing attorney in the United States and dedicated his time as an immigration paralegal at a non-profit organization with the determination to give 100% to every case that came across his desk. He ensured that everyone felt supported during their own turbulent times of trial.

Teo spent most of his time surrounded by friends searching for new adventures. Along with our 2 dogs (Smoochy and Oliver), he was also a plant dad to many succulents and cacti that he saved from the side of the road. Teo was a kind soul who indulged in horror movies but drew the line at bugs (cockroaches). He always carried a piece of him wherever he went, bringing family traditions and passing them onto his friends. There are truly no words to describe someone who was the sun, moon, stars, and universe combined. His smile lit up a room and his charisma filled his home with laughter. Home is where the heart is but everyone who knew Teo knows that home was wherever he was.
