My name is Tameka, and this GoFundMe is being created In Loving Memory of our sister Sylvia.

It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of our beloved sister, Sylvia Potter, who transitioned to heaven on January 1, 2026. Sylvia passed away during one of the most painful and challenging seasons of her life. Despite all she carried, Sylvia continued to give love to others until the very end.

Sylvia was the definition of caring and nurturing. She would give her all—and truly would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She poured her heart into her family, especially her siblings, nieces, and nephews, and most of all into her one and only son, Avery, whom she lovingly conceived in 2021. Sylvia was selfless, never selfish, and wore her heart on her sleeve.

She was someone you could always talk to—whether you were celebrating a happy moment or struggling through a hard one. Sylvia never judged where others would. Her smile alone could make the world feel lighter, warmer, and more hopeful.

This GoFundMe is being created to help fund funeral expenses for our beloved sister Sylvia during this unimaginable time. Assisting with any contribution, share, or prayer is deeply appreciated.
