Our Avery Brighton Thomas was a long awaited and much loved gift from God. After 2 beautiful daughters, my brother, Jason and his wife Jeanette, tried for years to have another child. After 13 years and many heartbreaks, they were blessed with our baby Avery Brighton in the spring of 2023. Avery was diagnosed with Down syndrome but seemed to be free from many of the troubles babies with Down syndrome have. My brother quit his job to become a full time dad and he and Jeanette became the best team for their girls. We started this week with a somewhat easy procedure of a feeding tube to help her gain some weight however, her situation quickly took a more serious turn as it was discovered that her heart and lungs were in really bad shape. Our week ended in devastation as her medical team was unable to stabilize her and she returned to the arms of our Father in Heaven. This wasn't even on their radar and are left lost and mourning the loss of this sweet spirit.

We now face the heartbreak of planning a funeral for a life cut way too short. We would appreciate any help as they have the expense of the funeral, burial, and the medical bills that have added up quickly. If you find it in your heart to assist them in this, we would be so grateful.
