It has taken me a few days to find the strength to write this, as my heart and mind struggle to find the words. Never did I imagine I would be here again—almost exactly one year later—with a shattered family. Yet here I am.

Our sweet Analeigha was the strongest person I have ever known. What she endured during her time on earth is unimaginable to most, yet she always carried a beautiful smile and filled our hearts with love and joy through her infectious laugh. She was truly a blessing to all of us, and she will be missed beyond measure.

We find comfort in knowing she has entered the gates of heaven, healed and whole—walking with Jesus and her daddy. Our baby girl can now run and dance, sing and laugh, and enjoy all the wonders of heaven. This is what we hold in our hearts until we are together again.

My daughter Jocelyn has now suffered the unimaginable loss of the two people she loved most in this world, all within a year. There is nothing anyone can do to heal her broken heart, but we can come together as a community to help ease some of the financial burdens she faces as she grieves the loss of her only child, our sweet Analeigha. If you are able to help during this difficult time, it would mean so much. Most importantly, we ask that you keep Jocelyn, our family, and the Tlahuetl family in your prayers.

Our hearts are shattered and will never be the same. Please hold your loved ones close, let go of what doesn’t matter, and always lead with love and intention.
