In the afternoon of August 24th, Sung Soo Hong tragically passed away. He was the husband of Michelle Moon Hong and father to three boys, JP, Kevin, and Sean Hong.

Born on May 14, 1966, in Busan, South Korea, he moved to the United States with his family in 2000 to pursue better opportunities. He was recognized by family and friends for his positive and engaging personality. An avid soccer enthusiast, he served as Vice President of the Lincoln Soccer Club. He also enjoyed golf, playing regularly with his wife and friends on Sundays, often followed by a group dinner. Known for his strong work ethic, he was committed to providing his family with opportunities he never had. One of his proudest achievements was supporting his three sons through college.

The service will be held at Oehler Funeral Home Thursday at 7pm in Des Plaines.
