In memory of Stuart Deighton (Stubbsy)

On Monday the 29th November, Stuart passed away suddenly due to contracting Covid-19 at the age of 38.

Stuart AKA Stubbsy had so much love for his partner Emily, his 4 beautiful children and one new addition on the way which he was so excited about as Emily is 23 weeks pregnant with his Son who is due in March. 

Over the last 3 years Stuart has changed his life for his children and Emily. He worked as a relief manager at Youngs which was his safe place, this is where he spent most of his time - the bonus was he also got to work with the love of this life Emily. People at worked called them the ‘A’ Team, they came as a team and everybody loved that!! 

Stuart has a larger than life character and loved to make people laugh and joke around, cheering everyone up.
Stuart was a big football fan, he supported Manchester United but he especially loved Grimsby Town Football Club. He supported them home and away - even if they were playing in Torquay he would be there !! 

This time of year was Stuart’s favorite time of year, He loved to decorate the house, he even had a Santa on a bike in the living room and loved to spoil the kids rotten. We would love you to raise a glass to Stuart this Christmas and reminisce on memories together.

This go fund me page has been set by Emily's best friends, to help Stuart’s partner Emily through this very difficult time and to give Stubbsy the send off he deserves.

Update from Emily which regards to the funeral..

I have been to make arrangements at the funeral directors this morning. 

Stuart’s funeral will take place at Grimsby Crematorium on Tuesday 14th December at 09:00am and has been organised through Kettle Funeral Care Grimsby (co-op). 

I know this isn’t too far away but I wanted to try and make sure that we can all pay our respects and give him the send off he deserved before Christmas and try to enjoy this time of year as best we can. We all know how much Stu loves Christmas and he would want us to have the best time possible.  

His kids have requested that people wear Grimsby Town shirts if they want to.

Stuart’s wake will be held at McMenemy's Function Suite at Grimsby Town Football Club.
