In memory of Steve Marks

Stephen Eugene Marks "Steve," who was beloved by many, passed away on July 20, 2025, in Mesa, AZ, at the age of 76. He was known for his sense of humor, positive outlook, and infectious laugh. At the time of his death, Steve was married to his wife, Catherine, for 55 years. Their daughter, Elizabeth, and their granddaughter, Avena, were the light of his life. He taught physical education and weight training, as well as coaching football and wrestling, at Poston Jr. High in Mesa, AZ, for 27 years. He loved sports and was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears, later becoming a fan of the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks. Many will remember his enthusiasm for golf. Steve had numerous family, friends, and students that he has left a lifelong impact on. His legacy will live forever through all those who are blessed to have known him. Our lives were brighter because of Steve.
