In Memory of Steve Chickering

On Sunday February 7, 2021 the life of Steve Chickering was tragically cut short. We are deeply saddened at the loss of our friend and team member. Steve leaves behind his wife Christina, and their 11 year old daughter Cassidy. They have a long road ahead of them, but your donation can help alleviate some of the pain and stress they are experiencing during this very difficult time.
I first met Steve in 2006/7 when we worked at an electrical contracting company together. To this day, I still remember the huge smile and old beaten-up Boston Red Sox hat that he always wore. It was clear then that he had something special with regards to friendship and relentless work ethic.
I moved on from the company a couple years later, but Steve stayed and diligently worked his way up from the field into an exceptional project manager, establishing rock solid friendships all the way. Steve had a unique attribute of adding value to any organization, at any level, in any role.
In 2018 I was lucky enough to convince Steve to join our team here at Baker Electric and within weeks, he was up to his usual…adding value, making friends, and working hard with a smile, except this time without the crusty Boston Red Sox hat. His hard work and effort had a huge impact on the success of our group in a short period of time.
I feel lucky to have been friends with and to work alongside Steve. He has put a smile on countless faces. The positive impact Steve had on so many individuals will not be forgotten. Please take a moment to reflect on the good times you spent with Steve, and if you didn’t have the pleasure of knowing him then I‘ll vouch for him and tell you … he was an exceptional person.
