In Memory of Steve Brooks
The world lost a great man and heaven gained a perfect angel last night. Some of you know that Steve was struggling recently with a very aggressive stage 4 esophageal cancer. He powered through with strength and held his own the best he could.
An incredible husband to Debbie Brooks, an amazing father to Johnathan Brooks, and brother to Mike Brooks, Jefferson Brooks and Pam Metzger.
Steve was a generous, outgoing, serving, put-everyone-else-first friend to SO many of us. A United States Veteran, Steve never met a stranger and always made people around him feel welcome no matter the circumstances. Our lives are all a little brighter and our hearts are a little fuller having known him.
100% of the donations will go to an account for Steve's family to help fund his memorial arrangements as well as any medical expenses from the treatment. Steve's wife also plans on donating any funds beyond memorial needs to the cancer center in Greensboro where Steve received his radiation treatments.
