In Memory of Stanley LeJeune

Professor Stanley LeJeune passed away on September 14, 2022. In his memory, we are establishing this GoFundMe to benefit the Delgado Community College Foundation.

Stan was the son of two educators and developed an early interest in sharing his love of science and enthusiasm for learning. He touched the lives of countless people as a devoted family member, friend, colleague, and teacher. Stan was known for his generosity and as someone you could always turn to for support and advice. He enjoyed science fiction, gaming, cooking, the New Orleans Saints, and spending time with friends and family.

For over 30 years, Professor LeJeune dedicated his life to serving the Biology Department and the college community at Delgado Community College in New Orleans. He brought humor to the classroom and loved discovering creative ways to keep students engaged and wanting to learn more. He took a special interest in mentoring new faculty members and collaborating with his peers.

His presence will be sorely missed.

In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations to the Delgado Community College Foundation to help continue his legacy.
