In Memory of SoSo, Beloved Service Dog
Donation protected
This morning, SoSo (Sonakih) passed away in her mom's arms on their way to the emergency veterinary hospital. She had pheumonia. Earlier this week, she had 2 surgical procedures, and also had megaesophagus. The veterinary care was costly. Those bills must be paid. Lydia Kunzler (SoSo's mom) needs our help.
Lydia has some profound health concerns of her own. She will be going in for major surgery on her leg.
This fundraising campaign is to help Lydia to pay off her vet bills, and to help her to cover her basic needs while she is hospitalized. And will also help her with the cost of training her next service dog.
Please give from your heart.
About SoSo
SoSo (Sonakih) was a service dog to Lydia Kunzler. She was a beautiful young standard poodle, and an angel on four paws. She was the best girl ever. Lydia and SoSo have not spent a single day or night apart since they found each other.
This morning, SoSo passed away in her mom's arms, on their way to the emergency vet. She had pneumonia.
Lydia has major health challenges of her own. She will be having major surgery on her leg, and will have to endure her prolonged hospital stay and rehab without SoSo by her side.
I struggled to find the words for this fundraiser, So I am using Lydia's words. She posted this on SoSo's facebook page.
"I may have been the one honored to share my home with this wonderful poodle, but Sonakih never belonged to me. Sonakih never belonged to anyone. No. I belonged to her. And she belonged to everyone who has loved her so dearly. From a tiny sickly puppy nobody wanted, left at a vet to die by her breeder..., to my soulmate and constant companion. We traveled all over together, we never spent a day apart her entire life with me. Ever.
I never knew when I volunteered to foster her what I was in for. Or how much she would change me. They say you only have one true soulmate in life. Sometimes you find it in another person. For me, I found it in a little sick apricot puppy. Sonakih was that soulmate for me. I’ve had others I considered my heart dogs. But never before and never again will I share such a deep connection at levels I can’t even describe that I shared with our beautiful and beloved SoSo. If I had it all to do over, I don’t think I would change a thing. She taught me how to truly follow my heart, and when you follow your heart, you can’t make the wrong choice.
Run free my beauty. My soulmate. My angel forever. You where the one. The only one. My one and only soulmate. You came to me when I needed you most. And now your time has come. You earned your wings. You where a great service dog. A loyal companion. My everything. My Sonakih."
