In memory of Simon: invest & cherish his legacy
Donation protected
Hi Friends - In memory of Simon Brown, help us create a place for friends and family to sit, remember and reflect - a tribute seat in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens - a beautiful place he helped create.
Your donation will help fund a tribute seat in Simon's name and will also provide vital support to the Adelaide Botanic Gardens Foundation. The total funds required are $7,500 - $10,000.
Just over a year ago, we lost an inspiring friend and an exceptionally beautiful human being - caring, kind, patient, curious, funny, smart, good-natured.
Simon, we miss you everyday.
There are some days when we notice something small - an unknown leaf, a clever font, a crafted detail - and in that brief moment, he is with us.
There are some days when he eludes us. Sometimes, in those moments we seek a place, to sit, to remember, to reflect - to feel we are with him amongst the things he loved and will forever be a part.
Simon was a loving son, brother, father, husband, uncle, and friend.
He was a mentor, a confidante, a scholar and an award-winning architect, landscape architect and urban designer. Civic spaces in every major Australian city have been made more beautiful for his critical eye and gentle touch.
He loved the Adelaide Botanic Gardens (ABG) and in his work at TCL, he worked on two ABG Masterplans as well as the Mediterranean Garden (winning several National and State AILA Awards). He was married in the Gardens on the Plane Tree Lawn, and we gathered on the Palm House Lawn for his Memorial Service.
