On February 19th, 2026 our lives were changed forever. We lost Silas at the age of 22 after a long and painful struggle with mental health. His passing has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
Silas went by many names — Keahi, Porter, Luka, Reagan, and Ari. Each name held a different chapter, a different connection, and a different piece of who he was. No matter what name you knew him by, Silas made people feel seen, understood, and loved in a way that stayed with you.
He was a son, brother, and friend. A chaotic and creative soul who brought light into the lives around him. Silas was deeply artistic. He was studying for a BA in Visual Art. He loved playing bass, singing, and expressing himself through his drawings. He wasn't just passionate about art, it was how he connected with the world.
Silas expressed himself through cosplay, sharing his love of animations, a hobby which connected him to his friends. Many people remember Silas always in cosplay, carrying his Nagito backpack covered in pins with his Nintendo Switch, tablet and switchblade always close by. He was rarely seen without a Southern Peach Calypso or an Ultra Rosa Monster in hand.
Silas adored his cat, Stanley, named after The Stanley Parable. He found joy in the characters and stories that shaped who was. He adored series like Danganronpa, Your Turn to Die, Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, Re:Zero, Omori, Persona, NieR, Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Spy x Family, and Perfect Blue and so many more. From Splatoon and Umamusume to Vocaloid to Bandori to The Living Tombstone he found a bit of himself in the most random of places.
Silas had so much life ahead of him, more art to create, more music to play, more moments to share with the people who loved him. His loss is one that words can never fully hold.
As we face this heartbreaking loss, we are raising funds to help support memorial and wake expenses so Silas can be honored and remembered with the love he deserves. During this painful time, the family and loved ones should be able to focus on grieving, remembering, and celebrating Silas’s life.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference. If you are unable to give, please consider sharing this page. Silas was deeply loved and will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. If you are struggling, please know you are not alone.
