I am creating this fundraiser in memory of my sister, Shu Chin Wen, who passed away on August 20, 2026, at age of 52 after battling liver cancer. Our family is heartbroken by this loss.

Shu Chin leaves behind her twin sons, Alex and Ethan Shelley, as well as her mother, brothers, family, friends, and the many animals she loved and cared for throughout her life.

Shu Chin was a devoted mother who loved her sons deeply. She was also a wonderful daughter and sister, and our family will miss her more than words can express.

She was an incredibly creative person who loved plants and had an amazing green thumb. She could nurture and grow almost anything. She also had a tremendous love for animals. Dogs, cats, a hedgehog, and many other animals found a loving home with her over the years. Caring for living things—whether her children, her family, her plants, or her animals—was simply part of who she was.

Shu Chin lived modestly, and her illness and passing have left her sons and family with both an emotional and financial burden during an already incredibly difficult time.

We are creating this GoFundMe to help Alex and Ethan with the immediate expenses resulting from their mother's passing, including funeral and memorial expenses, household and estate-related costs, and other expenses they will face as they work through this difficult transition.
