Friends, Family, and Loved Ones,
As you may know, Sheryl Ann lost her fight with COVID-19 and was called home by her creator on October 3rd, 2021. For those that knew her, you know there was much more to her story than that.
Sheryl wasn’t just our friend/daughter/or sister. Whether you just met her, or if you’ve known her your entire life, Sheryl probably thought of you as her family no matter what blood or past you shared together. She had a way of connecting with people from the start and making them feel like you were old friends from the first time you met. She always knew the right thing to say to make you smile or ease your worries when you needed someone to be there for you. She was a kind, caring, loving soul who did her best to help everyone she came across.
One thing that Sheryl wanted more than anything was the chance to have a child of her own to share with the world and watch grow. This year, she finally got her wish and became pregnant with a baby boy. Sheryl was ecstatic and excited to finally be carrying a child and had big plans for what her son would become as she most likely shared with many of you.
Sadly, on August 22nd, Sheryl was admitted to the hospital after testing positive for COVID-19. Her condition declined rapidly and doctors were forced to make the tough decision to deliver her son, Jayce, by emergency C-section two days later. Sheryl’s condition worsened so quickly that she left this world without ever having the chance to hold her son and tell him how much she loved him and what an answered prayer he was.
Now, Jayce is still in the NICU where he continues to grow and get stronger every day. Hopefully, if all goes well, baby Jayce will get the chance to come home to his family sometime in November. We are all so excited for him to finally be surrounded by the people that love him and are thankful for this little blessing who will be an enduring reminder of the light that his mother brought to the world.
Any funds raised in excess of Sheryl’s funeral costs will be used to benefit her son Jayce so that he can live the life his mother dreamed of giving him.
Thank you for your time, contributions, thoughts, prayers, and condolences.
