Chef Sheronda L. Woody-Wilson, 33 was a native of Paterson, New Jersey. She moved to Charlotte, NC as a young girl.
Sheronda started her education at John Motley Morehead Elementary, where she found her love for Music and Art. She sang soprano in the chorus and was a member of the Right Moves for Youth step team. Sheronda also participated in extracurricular activities at the West Trade Boys and Girls Club. Sheronda continued to explore interests in the arts during middle school and part of her high school years at Northwest School of the Arts. As a teenager, Sheronda moved to Aiken, SC. She attended Aiken High School where she excelled in many things, including Culinary Arts. She later graduated at the top of her class from Johnson & Wales University with an A.S. in Culinary Arts (2011) B.S. in Food Service Management (2014).
In 2012 Sheronda welcomed a beautiful daughter into the world. She would say she is her most significant accomplishment.
Sheronda had many years of experience working in her field. She also was an educator who taught Culinary Arts at Aiken High, Midland Valley High, and Started the Culinary Arts program at Garinger High. Most recently she was employed at Lifetime Fitness as a member of the Culinary Staff.
Sheronda was known to brighten everyone's day with her outgoing personality. She always encouraged others to live a healthy lifestyle and loved to be of service, be it through food, or just an encouraging word.
On August 6, 2023, Sheronda tragically passed away due to injuries from a car accident. This fundraiser will help cover funeral expenses, legal fees and support her daughter during this difficult time.
